What are Pre-Written Articles and Why are they So Awesome?
By Laura Ginn
Pre-written articles are the new craze currently hitting the online world (okay they're not really but it would be awesome if they were). They are exactly the same as articles written for client's specifications except they are already written and are up for grabs to the highest bidder (or anyone who wants to part with a wee bit of cash). Pre-written articles are great for a website or blog owner who doesn't want to have to wait around and find a good writer to write for them. The rights to the pre-written articles also pass over to the buyer after payment is received.
A quick search on any subject in a search engine will bring up many results. A look through some of these results will show many websites printing the same articles as others have printed. Quite often you will get annoyed as you want something different. Google sees it exactly the same. Google has got so fed up with people using duplicate content that they have started penalizing them. The site may then disappear from the results as it may be seen as a spam site. No website owner wants this to happen to them and if you’re one of them then maybe buying pre-written articles is the right option for you.
Aren’t They the Same Thing?
Yes, but the pre-written articles we are talking about are unique. If you purchase them then they are yours and yours alone. Anybody then using them after you will be penalized while you stay at the top spot for your chosen keywords. This is a much better option for anybody that does not have the time to be writing their own content and the website will receive a much bigger slice of traffic from the search engines.
Can They be Used for Article Directories?
Yes, but it is not a wise idea. Many people do not understand this but article directories work exactly the same way. When websites get crawled, the crawlers are looking for the content in which will be used to list the website. We mentioned that Google does not like duplicate content and exactly the same thing happens with article directories. Article directories are used to hopefully draw traffic to a website but if that same article is added to all directories then it will fall from the searches and again you will lose all potential traffic to the website. Pre-written articles should only be used in one place to get the maximum results.
So to put it all in place, pre-written articles can give you quality and unique articles. They can give you higher rankings in the search engines. They can drive lots more traffic to your website and this obviously means it could lead to more sales or even just more Ad revenue if you don’t sell products on your site. If you have made the right choice in choosing to purchase pre-written articles then take a look at what Ink Elves has to offer and make your site stand out from the rest.

Hi RNMSN
I'm not really sure why you find it unethical. What I do is offer a service for website and blog owners. I run a writing team where we produce work on a number of subjects. We place it in the online store and then blog and website owners are free to buy it and use it on their site.
For example, one of my top buyers is a Scuba Diving website owner. She cannot write well herself but she loves having general scuba diving articles on her site. She buys them from me and places them on her website. The articles are unique, they are not online anywhere and she knows that once she buys them they are hers.
I agree with you that Hub Pages is definitely more of a site for people who love writing, and there are some fabulous writers on here. There are also some people who have a fantastic idea yet who's work needs a little bit of editing.
I'm not really sure where you have the idea that I steal work either... can you explain further? Pre-written articles are the same as any other writing service except there is no waiting for the articles to be completed.
Kind Regards
Laura

I see this as unethical
1)what if someones work is on a site that is 50/50 say for a year eg helium and a person buys an article from helium? the author had no say in the transaction...may get a pittance but no continued revenue..for their original work!
2) you keep talking of google looking for "original" work yet you condone stealing/albeit you pay 'someone' for another hard work!
3) this is hypocritical and does no one, especially sites like here at HubPages any good where all of the BEST are working their butts off to get back on top of googles good graces.
4) you also are implictitly statin you agree/condone/OK tis because you did not list any disclaimer at the start/end/middle of your article...
but wait...whose article...never mind that is petty and places me at the same level...I apologize/strike that last remark.
well, this comment sounds more fit for the forum and I realize you may be offended by my words and can always choose to delete them I shall tell you right now I am going to post this in the forum along with this article.
You have the right to publish anything you wish here on HubPages and are even able and encouraged to get a FREE creative commons license to protect your work.
I have the right to say this smacks of ill intent and I will Not let it pass unnoticed.
This may be just pennies to some but the majority of authors here and online anywhere write because they have something inside them that compels them to write.
By stealing that muse, you are offending one and all. Fortunately there are more than three musketeers on HubPages.
